Dr. Ludolf von Wartenberg, born on 22 September 1941 in Fürstenwalde/Spree, has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the company since 20 May 2010 and has been Deputy Chairman of the Board since January 2019. On 13 March 2020, Dr von Wartenberg was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DF Deutsche Forfait AG.

After graduating in national economy and economic history studies in Hannover, Belfast and Göttingen Dr. von Wartenberg finished his education as a business consultant at the Handwerkskammer Hannover and has been a cooperation partner at Norddeutsches Handwerk. From 1970 to 1976 Dr. von Wartenberg was a member of the Niedersächsischer Landtag and from 1972 to 1976 he was a member of the Management of the Zentralverband der Deutschen Haus-, Wohnungs- und Grundeigentümer e.V. in Düsseldorf. From 1976 to 1990, Dr. von Wartenberg was a member of the Deutscher Bundestag and until 1987 a full member in the finance committee and deputy member in the economic committee (Chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary party in the finance committee; General Rapporteur for the Economic Committee in the North Atlantic Assembly). From 1985 to 1987, Dr. von Wartenberg worked as director at Hannover Rückversicherung AG in Hannover and afterwards until 1989 as parliamentary secretary for the Federal minister for economy. From 1990 to 2006, Dr. von Wartenberg has been the managing director of the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (BDI) and parallel until 2008 a member of the committee at Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (BDI). Dr. von Wartenberg currently holds the position as chairman of the administrative board of Industrie-Pensions-Verein e.V., Berlin, and he is chairman of the board of trustees of Hanns Martin Schleyer-Stiftung and of the Institut Finanzen und Steuern e.V., Berlin.

Prof. Dr. Wulf-W. Lapins has been a member of the Company’s Supervisory Board since 24 August 2018 and Deputy Chairman since 13 March 2020.

After two study courses in Düsseldorf and Bonn with a focus on social psychology, political adult education, international politics, history and educational psychology, he taught for two years until 1986 at the Bundeswehr University in Munich. After six years of foreign policy research for a globally active German political foundation, he headed the national offices of this organization in the Baltic States, Eastern Europe, the Southern Caucasus, Central Asia and the Western Balkans from 1993 to June 2019.
He was responsible for finance and political project management and has published numerous scientific papers on selected foreign policy issues in these five geographical regions.

In his new field of work, he acts as scientific peer review expert, senior fellow researcher and academic mentor.

Dr. Gerd-Rudolf Wehling has been a member of the company’s Supervisory Board since April 21, 2020.

Dr. Wehling studied history, law and political science at Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel. He passed both state examinations in law in Schleswig-Holstein.

Dr. Wehling has more than 40 years of professional experience in various areas of the public service. He began as a public prosecutor at the Kiel District Court. After several years of work as legal policy advisor to a parliamentary group in the German Bundestag in Bonn, he joined the judicial service of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. There he took on a wide range of responsibilities, particularly in the judicial authority and as chairman of the Hamburg Professional Court for the Medical Professions and as presiding judge at the Hamburg Administrative Court. He also taught at the University as well as at the College of Public Administration. Next to his work as a legal policy advisor in Central Asian countries, Dr. Wehling is also the deputy chairman of the board of a non-profit foundation.
